This Privacy Policy explains how Famcash handles information when you use the Famcash app and website. Famcash is a local-first budgeting app. The budget data you enter is stored on your device.

Summary
Famcash does not sell personal information. Famcash does not use advertising SDKs, personalized ads, or cross-app tracking. Famcash does not operate a central database that stores your budget records.
Information Famcash handles
Budget information
Famcash stores the budget information you add to the app, such as:
- income amounts, dates, descriptions, and recurrence settings;
- spending and saving jars, including jar names, colors, and settings;
- allocations, saving amounts, payment amounts, payment dates, and optional payment descriptions;
- budget cycle information.
This information is financial in nature because it describes your household budget. Famcash does not ask for bank account numbers, card numbers, government identification numbers, bank login details, or automatic bank transaction feeds.
Budget information stays on your device in local app storage. Famcash does not send your budget records to a Famcash server.
Voice input
Famcash includes an optional voice input feature for adding payments. If you use this feature, the app requests microphone or speech recognition permission from your device. Speech recognition is handled by the device operating system or the speech recognition provider available on that device. Famcash uses the resulting transcript in the app to create a payment entry. Famcash does not store audio recordings on Famcash servers.
Technical information
Famcash and its service providers may process basic technical information needed to operate the website, app update system, and support channels. This can include IP address, request time, app version, update channel, device platform, error information, and similar operational logs.
Famcash uses this information to provide the service, maintain security, diagnose problems, deliver app updates, and comply with legal obligations. Famcash does not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
How Famcash uses information
Famcash uses information to:
- provide the budgeting features in the app;
- store your budget locally on your device;
- process optional voice input;
- provide app updates and maintain service reliability;
- respond to support requests;
- protect the app, users, and services from abuse;
- comply with applicable law.
How information is shared
Famcash does not sell your personal or sensitive information.
Famcash shares information only in these situations:
- With service providers that operate app infrastructure for Famcash, such as hosting, app updates, and operational logging. These providers process information to help Famcash provide the app.
- When required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or to respond to lawful requests.
- If Famcash is involved in a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, with appropriate notice where required by law.
Security
Famcash uses reasonable safeguards for the information it handles. Budget data stored locally is protected by the security of your device and operating system. You should protect your device with strong authentication.
Retention and deletion
Budget records stored on your device remain on that device until you delete them in the app, clear the app's local data, uninstall the app, or clear the browser/app storage.
If you want help deleting Famcash-related data, contact [email protected]. Because Famcash is local-first, we may direct you to delete data from your device where Famcash does not control the storage.
Your choices
You can deny microphone or speech recognition permission. The app's regular budgeting features do not require voice input.
Children's Privacy
Famcash is intended for household budgeting by people and households. Famcash does not knowingly collect children's personal information on Famcash-operated servers.

Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Famcash changes or when legal, platform, or operational requirements change. When we update it, we will change the effective date above.
